Halfway through 6th grade!!

I achieved and learned a lot of things in 6th grade: Both academically, and socially. These are a few things I achieved for academics in 6th grade. In humanities, I have gotten better at writing. In science, I learned that hot things go up. In P.E, I learned how to shoot basketballs a little better. I also learned to do two kinds of badminton serves. Socially, I achieved making five new friends. F I made way more friends than before. From the beginning of the year, I became a little better at organizing my locker. In the beginning of the year, I could hardly close my locker door.

I have learned to have better time management and I am hardly late for class anymore. Unless it is a new place/classroom I need to go, I USUALLY don't get lost. I have also learned to open my locks faster AND more accurately. I have also learned to organize my binder.

Even though I made my locker neater, I would still like to make my locker cleaner. I would also like to have better handwriting. I would also like to improve my spelling of hard words. I would also like to learn more "tech" stuff

I would like to be a better humanities student for the rest of the year. I think I still need to improve spelling, grammer, and reading for humanities.

Hatchet Discussion numero cuatro

First of all, I think this was the best discussion our group had so far. Except for the exception of Lennox sometimes changing the subject, I could almost even say this time, it was perfect. I dicussed until chapter 17. Sara as usual was very preparted and scared us by having 3 pages of dicussion!! It was amazing how Sara, Eugenia and I had the same question but we all expressed the question in a different way. Those questions made us kind of ahead of schedule but I still think our group should slow down in discussions next time. I also could notice the difference in our group's questions. Now, most of them made us think hard. I could tell Brian really changed a lot from the beginning of the book. When he got depressed well. Now, Brian is always positive about bad things too. Before if he had had the tornado, he would have thought 'If my parent just hadn't divorced' Now he thinks, lets start fresh and new.He had lots of disadvantages but he covered them and always had a positive attitude. This changed kind of made me want to read the book more for some reason

I guess thats all I wanted to talk about. %p

Lit Circle Discussion #3

Okay. To begin with, everyone was prepared and ready for literature circles. We were supposed to read chapter 7 through 11. (7 and ll are my lucky numbers). We all agreed that when he finds his first food was quite important to the story. Devashish had a good question that we had a hard time getting an exact answer. We had to discuss a lot with that question. Uptil now, our group didn't really find much hard word, but we were able to find confusing words. After we had discussed, I had different opinions from what I had before we discussed. I thougt that the gut cherries didn't do Brian any good, but I changed my mind and agreed that it at least filled Brian up. In my opinion, my least favorite part was when the porcupine atacked Brian. But Lennox kept saying he wanted Brian to die quick because he was in a bad mood. I think overall, it was a pretty good discussion because our group was getting kind of used to being responsible for bringing their stuff and doing discussions every Tuesdays.

Hatchet Chapter 1&2 Discussion

Today in the literature circle, our Hatchet group met for the first time. As the discussion went on, all of us agreed that the pilot having a heart attack was the most interesting and important part of the story until now. Sara and I (Me, Jane) seemed to have the same question. We both asked what do you think the secret is? I think we both asked that because all of us wanted to know what had caused the divorce. Most of us also agreed that when Brian kept repeating
Divorce
The Secret
It turned out to be kind of annoying, I think our entire group did a fine job in staying on task (Except that we had a discussion if it would be safe to give Austin a hatchet). Some of my thoughts changed after the discussion. I think I learned from this one discussion.

(New) Courage...

It was actually both fourth grade and fifth grade I started to enjoy acting on stage... Before, I was always scared of being in front of millions of strangers. But doing performances and running assemblies really helped me actually find that acting and being on the stage was awesome. But I have one really special event that I want to remember forever.. An event that changed me a lot. The Melawati Circus!!!!!!!! I had joined both clowning and circus arts so I got to do both tricks and acting on stage, which is even better! Thanks to the teachers who helped organize and helped learn more about action on stage, I learned soo much tricks for acting and normal tricks too. Thanks to some of my experience in elementary, I managed to get in the middle school play. Hurray. BUT THE MORE EXCITING AND BETTER THING IS THAT I ACTUALLY OVERCOMED MY FEAR OF STRANGERS AND STANDING OF STAGE!!! (Not fearing strangers isn't always a good thing incase of crime though)Now when I see people that was scared of the stage like me, I try to help them... Like the way my friends tried to help me...

Which One???

There are many many options you can make. Archaeologist, anthropologist... But I would like to be a Paleontologist. The reason is because I like handling animals. Most of the time. (If its not dragons.) I also think it will be fun and interesting to look at the remains of animals. But the part about stopping humans from extinction might not be as interesting but I still think being a Paleontologist would be a fun job...
