Literature Circles Numero Tres

A week ago, my class had our third literature Circle dicussion for the White Mountains. Our entire group all brought our book and did the literature circles and was well prepared.

While we were doing our passages, I noticed that a lot of our passages were similar. I think this happened because basically the most importants parts of the story were pretty obvious.

When we were grading our own questions, I found out that one of my questions were a yes and no question. I was surprised why I hadn't noticed before. Both of my questions were not so good and I got two points in total. I thought these two chapters were the most interesting from the chapters we read until now. Claire had a really good question that we discussed for quite long.

I think this literature circle was one of the best ones our group had. Our entire group was focused and were able to dicuss the book well.

My favorite part was when Will found out that Eloise was capped. I thought this part was the most interesting and the most important part of the two chapters. Overall I thought our literature circles discussion was really interesting.

Jeanpole/Zhanpole/Beanpole.

Since I prefer the name Beanpole the most, I will be using the name "Beanpole". There are a lot of ways Beanpole would help Will and Henry but I chose the two that I thought was the most important.

One ways is that Beanpole likes trying new things, experimenting and is also very scientific. I know this because he made his own glasses and a lot of other different things. This will help them with their journey because something goes wrong he is always prepared to fix it. Another way he would be helpful is that he knows the way around the country and knows how to speak French. This kind of proves that he is smart. Knowing how to speak French would be really helpful because it would be a lot more easier to communicate with foreign people. Knowing the way around the country would help a lot as well because they would have less chance of getting lost.

The First Lit Circle of The White Mountains

We started a new book in our class called The White Mountains. I didn't enjoy the book much until now but, a lot of good books have a boring beginning. So. How am I like Will? It wasn't easy to get an answer to this question but here it is.

I can say I am like Will because we both like talking and meeting new people. I know I do because in the beginning of six grade, I met some new kids and just started talking to them. I know Will does because even when his father warned him not to talk to Vagrant again, he still kept meeting Ozymadius. This actually did Will some good because if he hadn't been talking to Ozymandius, he wouldn't have found out about the White Mountains and he would have been capped.

Another similarty is that we are like adventures. You can't say that I'm brave or adventurous but I do like adventures. Will likes adventures because at the end of Chapter 2, he decides to go on a dangerous adventure to the White Mountains. I like adventure because I enjoy traveling and finding out new stuff. I am also looking forward to be a part of Malaysia Week!!!

Happy New Year!

Well, happy new year! Since, I am halfway done with six grade and it is the beginning of 2010, I have decided to make some NEW resolutions.
1.
1. Organizing my locker better in school
2. Learn how to swim better
3. Be a more fit
Well organizing my locker is an important because I haven't been organizing my locker at all lately. Swimming is just one of my worst sports and I would like to improve on it. I would like to be a better runner because last year, I was a better runner than this year. I used to be pretty good at running but I stopped exercising much and I became tired when I do long distance.
My holiday this year was one of the best. My entire family went to club med in chariting. I was really excited because it was my first time in Club Med in Chariting. My family swam, I went to teen club and we went to sports tournaments and we did alot of other cool stuff as well. I SERIOUSLY enjoyed this winter vacation.
